Toby was a beagle mix and our beloved family member for his entire 12 year life. We got him at a park in Arizona where he was adopted by us. We will never forget him as long as we live.
Toby was diagnosed with terminal kidney failure only a week before he passed away, but for that last week on earth we sang "You are my Sunshine" to him, petted him, talked to him, and took him for wagon rides in his little red wagon. Toby loved to go for walks and loved his treats.
I will never forget how he always would lay on his back to get attention from us. We called it "showing out," and he knew he was the center of attention.
On Toby's last day he was not feeling well and we could tell his time was nearing the end. We told him we loved him and that it was ok for him to go home and that we would think of him every day.
On the morning of April 29th, 2019 we let Toby outside. When I brought him back in, he stood on the floor and waited for me to pick him up.
I picked him up to get some water and he put his head on my chest and passed away. I held him like a baby and told him I loved him and that I would see him again some day.
We love and miss you Toby!
