Belle

Belle

Belle was a Border Collie mix. She was beautiful and proud and bright and had the deepest eyes.

She could catch the trickiest bounce of a ball, though she never quite caught a squirrel.

She lifted her lip at the new cat, but I think she meant no harm.

First thing in the morning, she'd come to greet me.

God, I loved her. I just didn't know how much.
