The Sweetest, Smartest Little Guy

Bandit,

You sweet, sweet, little boy. We just lost you early this morning without warning.

My biggest regret that I will carry with me for the rest of my life is not saying goodbye to you before you left this world so unexpectedly.

You were just shy of two years old and hands down, one of the smartest dogs in the world. Every day you continued to amaze me with your ability to catch on to commands and the emotions I was feeling.

I have to go on every day not knowing what happened to you and why you left us so suddenly. My heart hurts more and more as the hours go by.

The guilt I carry for not being there with you during your final seconds is completely unbearable. Life isn't fair. I know how much you were looking foward to growing old with us, Bandito, and I'm deeply sorry that that couldn't happen.

You were the greatest dog we have ever had the pleasure of owning. We loved you so incredibly much and only thought the world of you. You made us a better family.

We Are Not Alone
by: Anonymous

I lost my dog in a similar way. His name was Jake and he was 4, almost 5. He died suddenly. He was up all night with an upset stomach and in the morning he stopped breathing.

My family and I never got to say goodbye either. I feel your pain. It's horrible that dogs have to die so young.

Sorry for Your Loss
by: Marie

I am so sorry for the loss of Bandit. I know how you feel about the goodbye because even though I knew that Seamus' time would be limited, I was devastated when I got up in the middle of the night and my son told me that he had passed.

Please know that I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and that you are not alone.
