Ode to Zoey

The love from a dog reaches parts of our heart that most of us never knew existed.
The joy of greeting us with such excitement even if we just go to throw out the garbage gives us a feeling that their love is so pure, it never needs a reason.
The look on their faces when they see us makes us understand the extent to which someone can hold us so deeply in their hearts no matter what mood we are in.
Dogs teach us about the natural side of the human condition. After all, they are what we must have been out of the factory without human interference.
Their greatest joy is being in our arms, sitting by our side, being next to us, kissing us, playing and making us happy, loving being kissed and hugged, all the things we know to be the natural side of all of us but for many humans rarely shown or felt.
This gift must have been made by God to show us what we should be like and what should make us happy in life.
After all, they find happiness without money, find validation with a compliment, make us happy for a smile, and kiss us for nothing in return.
I never thought 7 pounds could hold so much love.
