My Favorite Flower, Tulip

by Fernando
(Huntsville, AL)

It's been a little over 3 months and I miss you so much. Today, I was walking by the wooded area where we found you. You were only a puppy but in bad shape. We looked for anyone who could have been your owner but no one claimed you.

In the end you claimed me. You came into my heart and will never leave it.

You passed away suddenly when you were just over 3 years old. I didn't see it coming. I took you in to the emergency clinic and they told me you had a very large mass in your bladder and in your liver.

There wasn't anything I could do to save you. I held your paw and told you it was going to be okay even though I knew it really wasn't. I saw you take your last breath and my heart just broke.

You were my dog who sat on my lap every day. You woke me up in the morning to eat and you followed me everywhere. You were my shadow, and now there is an emptiness.

I wanted to tell you I'm sorry I couldn't do more to save you. You will always be my sweet girl, and my lap will always be your place. I'll never forget you and the love you gave to me.

I miss you so much but I know I'll be with you again some day. I can't wait to hold you again. I love you Boboos girl.

Mutual Feeling
by: Blue Angel

I did feel the same way when my dog passed away on my birthday. I miss him every time I go home without him. I always remind myself that someday we will meet again in heaven. :-)

“God will prepare everything for our perfect happiness in heaven, and if it takes my dog being there, I believe he’ll be there.”
-Billy Graham

Your Baby Tulip
by: A Friend

Fernando, my heart goes out to you. I pray that it will get easier for you. Below is a poem that someone gave to me that I like to share....

I'm Still Here

Friend, please don't mourn for me
I'm still here, though you don't see.
I'm right by your side each night and day
and within your heart I long to stay.

My body is gone but I'm always near.
I'm everything you feel, see or hear.
My spirit is free, but I'll never depart
as long as you keep me alive in your heart.

I'll never wander out of your sight-
I'm the brightest star on a summer night.
I'll never be beyond your reach-
I'm the warm moist sand when you're at the beach.

I'm the colorful leaves when fall comes around
and the pure white snow that blankets the ground.
I'm the beautiful flowers of which you're so fond,
The clear cool water in a quiet pond.

I'm the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring,
The first warm raindrop that April will bring.
I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine,
and you'll see that the face in the moon is mine.

When you start thinking there's no one to love you,
you can talk to me through the Lord above you.
I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees,
and you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze.

I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep
and the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep.
I'm the smile you see on a baby's face.
Just look for me, friend, I'm everyplace!

Please read Rainbow Bridge poem. I hope that it will ease somewhat your grief. May God always walk with you.

God Bless You
by: Ed in Denver

God blessed you with Tulip.

Trust that it was no accident that you found her that day. God knew your heart and knew that you were the one person on Earth he could entrust Tulip's care to.

God also knew your time would be brief and that when it was time to bring Tulip home, you were the Earthly Angel to insure he went / arrived safely.

Tulip now sits in the lap of God until it's time for you to join them both and cross over the Rainbow Bridge.

May your heart find peace.
