Connor came into our lives to fulfill our grieving hearts over the loss of our first dog Chloe. He was adorable and quickly grew into his paws. I nicknamed him Doll Baby. At 5 1/5 months old, we got Colin, whom Connor raised willingly.
Connor was loved but always gave more., He will be missed by all who knew him. Life goes on, and so shall we with the memories of a wonderful loving family member.
One of the things I will never forget is that if Connor would get too far ahead on the trail he would always come back and make sure I was not lagging too far behind. For that reason I want to read this poem.
I explained it to St. Peter,
I'd rather stay here
Outside the pearly gate.
I won't be a nuisance,
I won't even bark, I'll be very patient and wait,
I'll be here, chewing on a celestial bone,
No matter how long you may be.
I'd miss you so much, if I went in alone.
It wouldn't be heaven for me.
Connor, you will never be forgotten, and will be forever in our hearts.
Love, Mom and Dad
