Chippy Doddle was a stray that came to us one cold December day back in 2001. For a few days he ran between houses, each of us feeding him. My daughters begged to keep him, and we said no. It got bitter cold and I couldn't let him stay out in the cold. We let him in, and he became ours that night. Lana called him Chip. He also went by Chippy, Chippy Doddle and Stinky. He was a yellow lab, long haired mix dog. He loved to hunt and he was a happy dog. Along came our dog Joker and Chippy was jealous of him, but they got along great.
Three weeks ago we had to let Chippy go. My heart is so empty without him. Joker seems lost and looking for him. I cry now because I miss him. I know he is better and no longer in pain. He is in Doggy Heaven chasing bunnies and being the happy-go-lucky dog that he was.
Forever in our hearts you will be. We love you Chip.
