Goodbye My Big Sweetie

Yesterday I had to make the hardest decision of my life, to put down my beloved Bailee after 13 wonderful years with her.

I got Bailee at the Lansing Michigan Humane Society when she was 6 weeks old. She was a black lab / beagle mix and had the sweetest demeanor!! It was Bailee and me for many years and she was my best friend, my companion, my protector and my buddy.

My husband, who only met her two years ago, nicknamed her Big Sweetie. My husband Zach and Bailee became buddies from the start and she then became his shadow!! Unfortunately, over the last two years we saw Bailee's health really go downhill - from taking 2-3 mile walks daily to just being able to walk to the back yard to go potty. My Bailee was in so much pain, and we couldn't stand seeing her suffer so much.

We were there holding her when she was put down yesterday. I haven't stopped crying since.

Rest in peace, my big sweetie, my buddy, Pookers, Meat Chops, and my beloved Sweet Pee. Please greet me with your morning kisses when I come to heaven someday!!!!
