Annie, my faithful labrador retriever, who was just as bad as she was good. You filled my life with so much laughter and unconditional love. Always there to play a game of fetch and take a swim in the pool even in the twilight of your years.
Lovingly you lay in bed and slept with me, cuddling to keep me warm on cold nights. Licked away my tears when I was sad. We still recall you with fondness whenever there was burnt food or when seeing the tennis ball out back that has lost its owner.
You were the most full of life as any companion I've ever had and the most loving. I can still feel your presence at night sometimes, and lovingly hold on to your ashes that rest on my shelf. The words on your dog bone urn describe you perfectly. "A Faithful Friend" who is gone but not forgotten.
I'll be waiting to see you when I come into heaven because I am sure that you're there waiting to greet me with a happy wag of your tail and a thousand wet sloppy kisses that I will receive fully.
